'Center Arc' D8 Tarmogoyf P/T Die

This is sthe small version of my Tarmogoyf D8 die in the 'Center Arc' dice series. It can be used to keep track of the power and toughness of the Magic: the Gathering card Tarmogoyf (and similar creatures).

Please note: this version has the numbers arranged in a spindown order, which means that consecutive numbers are placed next to each other. This breaks the regular D8 pattern where the numbers on opposing sides add to 9.

The die has a height of 22 mm (0.9'') (the distance between each set of two opposing faces.) This size is best suited for printing in metal. For printing in plastic there is a larger version available here. The power/toughness levels on the sides of this die are 1/2, 2/3, 3/4. 4/5, 5/6, 6/7, 7/8, 8/9. Great care has been taken to ensure that the die is well balanced, and therefore rolls should be fair.

To enhance the look of the die, and to make the numbers stand out more, you can darken the recessed ares by painting the die with thinned dark acrylic paint and rubbing it on a rough cloth after the paint has dried. This will clean the paint of the heightened details, leaving them shiny and contrasting nicely with the darker lower areas.
