The planet who became a non-planet before it was mainstream! Discovered in 1801 Ceres is the largest object in the asteroid belt and for a period of 50 years would be taught as part of the "planets" of the solar system, until it was eventually reclassified as an asteroid in 1850.

This 3d model uses data from the Dawn probe, to offer a textured Ceres with slighty exagerated 3d terrain relief.
