HO-TrackBumper 5 Pack (discontinued)

<p>This two part Track Bumper fits right between code80 or code100 track. I mainly designed it for my Model Railroad, but it may be useful for other's as well. The material allows the bumper to take some punch, but it needs some filing or sanding to look great.</p><p>The two part design allows for +/-1mm height adjustment. The parts should be fixed with a drop of cyanoacrylate (make sure to clean and smoothen the contact area).</p><p>I had both - the White Strong & Flexible and the Black Strong & Flexible bumpers printed and delivered in no time. This is a functional model on the BCNorthern layout.</p><p>We currently plan to use these exclusively as detail is "good enough", it requires only a little post work and some painting. Oh and it's more cost effective for our needs.</p><p>I've recently recorded a crash test video of this product glued to the end of a piece of flex track. A string of three 6-axle road switchers hit the strike plate repeatedly at a scale speed of aproximately 35mph without breaking the material. Three crashes are documented in the video which will be linked to as soon as it is edited (1 GB of size is slightly more than I thought). The unedited video will be available on BCNorthernRail.net too.</p><p> </p><p>Update: After about 20 or so crashes (yeah, don't let your kids loose on the layout) the bumpers still hold, so I removed the Beta status. This thing works. </p>
