What’s the story behind your designs? What inspires you?
We like to use tools in a different way of its main purpose and create original shapes that cannot be done with other types of manufacturing, getting inspiration from mathematics and nature. We know each other from a long time ago, and have always worked together in our projects. So we started to get involved in 3D printing and we got fascinated by the idea of making our designs real, something that couldn’t be possible to us without 3D printing.

What brought you to 3D printing with Shapeways?
We discovered Shapeways researching about 3D printing, and we loved the possibility to print in many different materials, from plastic to metals.

How did you learn how to design in 3D?
Carlos studied 3 years of CG Artist career in Madrid and Sabela studied CAD at university, we both like 3D design and we are always looking to improve ourselves designing for different materials using all the tools we can.

How do you promote your work?
We use to share our websiteInstagramFacebookTwitter, and Tumblr.

Who are your favorite designers or artists? Who in the Shapeways community has served as an inspiration to you?
In the 3D design field Nervous System, Bathseba or Iris Van Herpen. We also like Gaudí, Dalí, Kandinski and M.C. Escher.

If you weren’t limited by current technologies, what would you want to make using 3D printing?
Print a full house, with electric wires, plumbing, furniture…everything!!
