Hyper Surreal Fractalic Mystical Chess - My Masterpieces is a project I have been subconsciously working on since I started exploring the cosmos of 3D fractals in 2010. I have always admired Max Ernsts, Marcel Duchamps and Dalís sets, but I wanted a set which was more true to the original idea of surrealism. With the help of 3D fractals and 3D printing I could make it a reality.

To construct the pieces I have been using the very best of my artworks,
my masterpieces, from a period of over 4 years.

The full set is a play in 7 acts about humanity, the evolution and the quest for knowledge through enlightenment and superfluity until the day when mankind finally became the plague of the planet.
* Each piece has its own character and story.
* Each piece is a piece of art in itself.
* Each piece has a (surreal) resemblance to a standard chess set.
* The pieces are robust, not hollowed and light like many 3D printed objects.

Maria Theresa while wearing The Hall of Mirrors is a sculpture depicting Maria Theresa caged in the hall of mirrors, you can see her torso inside her ornamental cage. (I have not being able to take a good photo of her yet, but if you turn the 3D-view around you will get a glimpse of her...)

Each piece bears my signature underneath the bottom plate, if you buy the complete chess set (piece by piece or all 32 pieces at once) you will recieve a hand signed certificate of authenticity if you send me your address and a proof of purchase in a PM.

You will need one white and one black Queen for the Chess set. On the photos the pieces are on a board with 5 x 5cm (2 x 2 inch) squares, it works, but 6 x 6cm (2,4 x 2,4 inch) squares would be preferred. I am working on designing a 3D printed board.
